Christian is a PhD candidate in the Process Analytics Group at the University of Bayreuth.
As part of his research, he developed a novel approach for streaming process discovery as well as methods to improve explainability in Process Mining. A particular focus lies on the efficient processing and analysis of process data in real time. In addition, he works on concepts in process mining, especially in the context of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
His research has since expanded to related topics such as synthetic data, data quality, and the analysis and explanation of process interactions. In this context, he also investigates how different perspectives, such as control flow and data flow, can be combined to enable a more comprehensive understanding of processes.
